Moses’ father-in-law, Jethro played a significant role in his life in this instance in which he was overwhelmed with leadership. Verse 24 of this passage sums it up where it says, “Moses listened to the voice of his father-in-law…”. As a five generation church we will celebrate the wisdom of our more experienced family members. We will teach the importance of seeking and taking sage advice to help us as we follow Jesus. The body of Christ was built for this kind of relationship and Moses shows us the way as he leads the Old Testament people of God.
